Sharing the Joy and Power of Life in Christ!

Faith Alive!

Faith Alive Weekend is coming to Emmanuel!

The following gives you a general idea of what you can expect:
Thursday, October 12: There is a 24-hour prayer vigil in the Sanctuary starting in the evening.
Friday, October 13: The Faith Alive visiting team arrives and Friday night kicks off with a church-wide dinner in the Parish Hall. After dinner the teens and children leave for their programs. Nursery will be open. The adults sing, pray, hear stories of faith from the visiting team, and break into small discussion groups.
Saturday, October 14: Saturday morning begins with adults meeting in neighborhood groups in church members’ homes to reflect on what God has done, and is doing in their lives. Children and teens have their own programs at church where they participate in songs, fun, crafts, and prayer. Nursery will be open. Everyone reconvenes at church where they break into groups for lunch and programs. Saturday evening there is church-wide dinner in the Parish Hall followed by singing, witnessing by the visiting team, and breaking into small groups to reflect on our spiritual journey. Saturday is a very busy, high energy, spirit-filled day!
Sunday, October 15: The Sunday church service at 10:00 am brings the whole weekend together so that even those who may not have participated in any of the events are included. There is a reception following the service, after which the visiting team leaves for home.

Registration is happening now!

The sign up board is available in the Narthex between services and in the Parish Hall during the week.  You can also contact the Church Office (757) 499-1279 to register.
